T he church was founded in 1985 by Pastor Sanna Rajapakse, who was theologically educated at Lanka Bible College, Kandy, Sri Lanka. His congregation of 300-350 is made up of both Tamil and Singalese people. They have worked since 1985 to improve the lives of poverty stricken areas of Sri Lanka, and following the Tsunami have increased this work, with the help of donations from all over the world. T heir connections in many areas affected by the Tsunami, and their involvement in the lives of communities there, makes them ideal people to co-ordinate the longterm relief work. Youth Ministry - Was quiet for a while, but soon to be back on their feet. Children’s Ministry - Worships the Lord with all their hearts and voices. Worship Ministry - They play an amazing role in the church, by leading God’s people into the heart of worship. New Life Church, Bible School - Designed to mobilize believers of the church and to study the deeper meaning of God’s word. Prayer Ministry - A powerful team that comes together to seek God’s grace and uphold all ministries of the church in prayer and worship. House groups - Intercedes for the Sunday services, Leaders and Ministries of New life Church. OUR MISSION is to be God’s light in our city. We declare Jesus Christ and His Love to all people. Our hearts yearn to care for our families, guide our youth and support those in need.
