Past Projects
TSUNAMI RELIEF AID PROJECTS SO FAR

 

 

 

 

 

1)

 On the 04/01/2005 - 4 lorries with 500 parcels of Household items were sent to families in Batticalo and Mullativu (north-east). This project was sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse.

 

 

2)

 On the 04/01/2005 - A Medical Team of 15 members left to Batticalo and stayed on for 4 days. This project was sponsored by King’s Care, U.K.

 

 

3)

 We also sent 100 parcels containing Dry rations to Mattakkuliya (a town close to our church) this morning. This project was sponsored by the Fellowship of Free Churches of Sri Lanka.

 

 

4)

 On the 12/1/2005 - We sent 1 lorry with 1000 parcels containing dry rations to another camp in Batticalo. This project was sponsored by St. Paul’s, Surrey, U.K. With this project, a Medical Team also left to Batticalo (it's their 2nd time!!)

5)

 On 18/01/2005 - 5 lorries left to 3 destinations (North-East) with 1000 parcels containing Utensils, mats, pillows, bed sheets, coconut scrappers, match boxes and other Household items. This project is sponsored by D.M.C.D.D. (Danish Mission Council Development Department).

 

 

 3 Lorries to Trinco with 500 parcels
1 Lorry to Jaffna with 250 parcels
1 Lorry to Kalmunai with 250 parcels

 

 

6)

 On the same day - 1 lorry left to Jaffna with 250 suitcases containing 3 spoons, 1 T-Shirt, 1 length trouser material, 1 fish knife, 1 comb set, 1 safety pin set, 1 torch and 1 padlock. This project is sponsored by King’s Care & King’s Church - Poole (Pastor. Bill Rice).

 

 

7)

 On 20/01/2005 - 3 lorries left to Matara (Downsouth) with 600 parcels containing Household items and 400 parcels containing dry ration. This is sponsored by Velber Mission German and King’s Church & King’s Care. Another 200 parcels of Dry ration was distributed in from Dehiwela to Vaduwa sponsored by Velbert mission.
